SAVE THE FUTURE and SAVE LIFE ON HEART!…

It’s great and certainly official that a whole bunch of fashion designers are investing creativity, time and money in creating collections trying to support our wonderful blue planet. The luxury Stella McCartney label has already launched the sustainable glamour trend some time ago, just like the battling, legendary London designer Katharine Hamnett who already changed course back in 1985, becoming the pioneer of this fresh wave of fashion designers dedicated to the noble cause of organic fabrics. Its clear, unequivocal fair trade message stands out on the famous slogan t-shirts. The SAVE THE FUTURE T-shirt project, born in collaboration with the Environmental Justice Foundation presses for the empowerment of producers of cotton coming from strictly organic plantations at zero environmental impact. A courageous choice which as well as being intended to protect the environment, seeks to favour those small businesses which are often devoured by large companies only concerned with profit. SAVE THE FUTURE and SAVE LIFE ON EARTH!…Starting with me… I ask myself…. What am I doing and how coherent do I have to be to give up the legendary double C and more… But, while waiting for my prayers to be answered and for Karl to have an ecological stroke of genius.. I’ll have a look at WWW.NOTJUSTALABEL.COM, a really interesting webspace which aims to discover and support new talent in contemporary fashion. In the DESIGN DIRECTORY there’s a long list of irresistible ethical designers I’ve already fallen in love with.
